If you are looking to redesign your website and are an Association or Non-profit, you’ve probably come across Wild Apricot. Wild Apricot is a hosted propriety Content Management System (CMS) that includes membership and donation management.
The CMS is fairly intuitive and provides the ability to manage content and select from predefined templates. The problem is the templates are very basic. Making simple changes to the header, footer and adding menu items are all straight forward. If you want to make the design more appealing and make more advanced changes, it can prove challenging.
Recently, we completed a new website for Families Matter Cooperative (FMC). As part of the project, we developed a new logo, developed a new website design, and implemented within Wild Apricot.
Working with FMC, we determined the best “raw” Wild Apricot template and looked for ways to improve it.
Working with the template, we developed initial designs for the client to review and, through a process of feedback/refinement, developed their final design.
The design was implemented and the initial menu structure created, ready for the client to populate with content.
If you are considering Wild Apricot, we are ready to help. We can assist developing requirements, content planning, design, implementation, and content integration.
